I want to set up more than one web site on IIS7 with each website having it's own IP address.

The FQDN or appends http:// in front of the local host name, Chrome "gets smarter" about the non-FQDN host is that Chrome is too aggressive in wanting to search versus just going to the typed host name doesn't handle local hosts....
