I am making a z39.50 search in python, but have a problem with decoding search results.
The first search result for "harry potter" is apparantly a hebrew version of the book.
How can I make this into unicode?

I'm trying to reproduce your problem, but am getting....
R.data.decode('windows-1255').encode('utf-8')
you'll have to figure the correct encoding they used, and put that instead of 'windows-1255' (which might work, if you're right about the hebrew guess) .

I've got a decent sized library (2000+ books) and I used to have them stored in a complex directory hierarchy according to dewey decimal. (Don't worry, I'm not going to ask if I can get Calibre to use that hierarchy internally!)
