I am installing ubuntu server in a vmware vm. In the expert installer there is this question (i guess this is the same in the debian installer):

It would be handy during debugging to have multiple consoles (not multiple monitors, which I already have). I am imagining something like Console.WriteLine(1, String1) which would send String1 to one console window 1 and Console.WriteLine(2, String2) ...

It seems random: after some amount of time / usage of any console I use on Windows Vista, I lose the ability to use the command-line history (or command buffer, if you prefer...), and hitting the up or down arrow no longer does anything at all, meaning...

Microsoft, because their consoles are built with cheap parts and fail, if I could have Nintendo stop making consoles but, instead, bring their library of games to Sony and Microsoft consoles, ....

I am not too big on ant, but can't you make the builds dependent on one another?
Have you tried redirecting standard out to file via a run configuration? A few screen shots to help if not.. .
