I'm about to renew my contents insurance. I noticed on my renewal policy details, that my bikes are not in fact covered (which was a shock), so time to shop around. I've just been on confused.com and I have to say I'm not impressed. You go to the trouble...

And if you go for 'Accidental damage' and 'away from home' you are covered for races and travelling.
Marks and Spencer home insurance, covers single items up to £4k, which includes bikes in the home with no excess.

I previously took out home contents insurance in a previous tenancy, an apartment. Thankfully I never had to claim, but did when a camera was stolen when I was back living at home.
I hope to move into a 2-bed house with my wife soon but most of the places...

Usually third, claim free, insurance period - some are starting to realise this, hence the introduction.
Although I'm assuming you have seperate insurance for that?) the premium will likely be higher.
