Morning All,
Does anyone know of any specialist, reliable insurance schemes which cover just personal items?
Reason being is I'm currently renting privately and therefore have no need for contents insurance... Yet I'd like a reasonable insurance policy...

I looked at this option and it was moer.
I ended up with a normal insurance policy for contents broker or maybe Endsleigh Insurance, they do 'student schemes'.
Expensive than regular insurance.

Anyone recommend a reasonable home + contents insurance policy. I been with AAMI for about 5 years, premiums increased around $50 per year, but this year renewal notice is up almost $100. I've not made any claims, so I guess it's due to Queensland floods...

Yes, same with the car, Lumleys is owned for the house and had a separate home and contents policy so when the house got robbed I had to pay excess on the home for the damage....
To the insurance business and is wanting to attract new customers.

Cancellation charges are also seen partially as a way of driving down "fraud" of people buying insurance to either prove to their mortgage providers they have home insurance....
Renewal as a way of driving down accidental non-insurance.

Insurance companies want you to buy their additional products - they often earn more on these than the actual buildings / contents.
There are lots of other things it covers like consumer disputes .
