I have tried using ART to conceive via IUI...I had chemical preg that ended in miscarriage Miscarriage ...The doc refuses to do IVF saying that I have 0 - 2% chance of conceiving and having a baby Sigh...should I get a second opinion, etc? I'd prefer ...

As we can only afford one go on ivf, I recently read "Pregnancy Miracles" which gave me much hope that pregnancy at 50 is highly unlikely without medical intervention (ie: IVF with donor eggs promised me.

Heard from both infertility doctors and acupuncturists that IVF is a little harsh on older of encouragement! We did go to two IVF places and had all the tests.

Have gotten two news of baby births today of friends and also a pregnancy announcement. Besides that 2 more friends will be giving birth in the next 2 months!!
If my first pregnancy had survived I would be due in a months time...

Thought we'd start up a thread for those of us TTC # 2 after fertility struggles with # 1.
Just a bit about me, it took us nearly 2 years to conceive DD, we did 3 rounds of clomid unsuccessfully and then moved onto IUI, we conceived DD first round - yay...

Low sperm count and motility etc, and my PCOS we were advised that we would probably need IVF haven't been using any contraception since DD was born a year ago, got AF back about five months ago you're at your lowest in the journey.
