Has anyone had HSBC try and force them into using their 'conveyancing service'?
I wondered how strong the sales tactics are to date?
You may have heard that they have set up a 43 law firm panel (wait for it... run by Countrywide ) to offer lower priced...

We the panel then its safe to assume that it will be the same quality of conveyancing that is experienced service ethos.

A few weeks ago, HSBC apparently changed the rules on appointing a conveyancer. If you did not choose a solicitor from a pre-approved list, HSBC will charge you £160 to instruct their solicitors to act on their behalf.

If you are thinking about an HSBC mortgage, there is a nasty catch.
If you don't use their conveyancers they will charge you £192. What!?? Just a nasty feel before you even start.
But pay it if you have to have an HSBC mortgage - as HSBC conveyancers ...
