A while back I had made some meatballs off the crockpot 365 blog. They were shaped, rolled in flour, and then frozen on a cookie sheet. Then you put in crockpot (frozen) with some broth and tomato paste and cook them all day, no browning.
They were ok...

Here are 2 sauce recipes you could the crushed red pepper and cook....
Then I'd put them in the sauce and simmer for 15 minutes on low .
Probably throw them on a cookie sheet in the oven to get them fully thawed and hot all the way through.

It tried one from Cooks Illustrated, & it's an easy dough to work with....
I've tried a few roll-out sugar cookie recipes, & haven't been impressed searching for the ultimate rolled cookie recipe.

I am gobsmacked at Hueys effort today...he commented on his eggplant and zucchini rolls being vegetarian more than once then proceeded to put anchovies in it!
