Tonight I have the Mexican layered salad from DD going with the extra corn bread on the side and DS's cinnamon toast cupcakes .
We're doing a turkey breast in the smoker tomorrow and then something on the grill with some friends on Monday .

So, it may be more of a nostalgia thing for me .

When cooking rice I cook as much as I can I live alone now too and deffo batch cooking is the answer ,you can pretty much cook anything and freezeI'm afraid ....
Pasta, I cook extra to use for another meal or for lunch.
