A bit like white bread plain, or plain rice.!
Soybeans are the ingredient in tofu, and when you get fresh tofu, you have a beany nutty....
It's the best way IMHO.
And I can tell you , I eat fresh AND plain tofu on it's own all the time.

In the interests of battling my cholesterol down, I am eating much less meat these days and am not missing it, frankly.

Good luck! Tofu is great for Asian dishes, but as a substitute for meat in recipes, try some of the Morning Star Farms type products....
Also maintains cookbook downloads but I don't know if Costco even sells tofu, so, maybe not worth your time.
