HELP! Need Advice on Cooking a Turkey without a Cooking Bag? I have always used a cooking bag to cook my turkey. I thought I had a bag on-hand, but I don’t. And I have no transportation to run to the market. Also, my turkey needs to go into the oven within...

Can any one tell me why roasting bags are called roasting bags,they don't roast your food. Also why do people say roasted turkey when they cooked it with a lid and a lot of water,(braising). Learning cooking terms,so any help welcomed.

Every year we get a Hogans Turkey via Supervalu, it was the half price offer this year so turkey was 14.5lbs and the half price was €30, we were just talking the other night and DH was saying €60 as the full price sounded...

I got a half price hogans turkey xmas eve to cook the 27th it was around€20 for a fresh 4kg or 5kg (can't remember) turkey from Tesco.
Though,well worth the money.

I got two 6 pound turkey breasts for $5 each. Sweet! I know I can roast them, or slice and use them like chicken breast, I suppose, but I wondered about putting one in the crockpot and cooking it. I've done chicken a few times, but not all that successfully...

And yes, sometimes they are missing (but not often) i even dont know how to cook turkey I haven't done turkey is big enough, you will find it inside the large cavity.
