So clearly there is alot of talk around cooling solutions for all the e36's out there as I've read countless threads on them, but Im having a harder time finding info in regards to e46 M3 applications.

Here is what I did on both and solved the problem...still running oem radiator and my current E46 is now a track car...
Had similar problems as you...with two of my E46 M3's...

Have a good used engine cooling fan for E46 cars NOT FITTED with mechanical clutch fan. this should fit all E46 with electric cooling fan on engine side of radiator. I believe its from a 323.
anyway asking 100 obo for this. I just need it gone.

Consensus here is that the X3 with the N52 engine has fewer cooling system issues than you'd find in the E46 forum.

According to BMS's literature The E36 M3 weight in at 3175 lbs while the E46 your talking about.
E46 chassis is 50% stiffer than E36 and heavier It's only about 100lbs heavier, which weight over an E36.
