So it's not actually a trim, all the Mini Cooper S' are the same, it's just that R56 models are....
The R5x after the model is essentially what generation of the new age Mini Cooper S it is, with the R56 being the latest model.

Can't comment on reliability etc though talk to RTenthusiast.
Of cars (Intrepid R/T, Touareg V10TDI, Nissan 350Z, Mazda3 GT, Mini Cooper, BMW 328i) and the MiniI test drove an 08 (i think) Cooper S and loved driving it.

I know currently for the Mini you can extend the motorplan for one year at a time every 3 months - something will go wrong with....
So not getting the mini cooper, hated the drive and didnt feel are mechanic).
