After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing with watson about getting a copy of the forum DVD I have come to dead end as he could not copy the DVD.

I was wondering if any of you have a dvd burner that can copy VHS to DVD. I was in the market to pick up one of these but,

If you simply want a copy for copy with no ability to edit your product, then the VHS / DVD copy they do not need to be converted at all as they are already mpeg2 files.

The .iso image to a DVD using any software (Nero, etc) or just use imgburn (above).

Hello,
Perhaps someone can help me. How do you copy and can you copy a commercial DVD (protected) with VLC? I've tried with the record button and via save/convert option but it never works for the all movie...
Any ideas? I'm using Ubuntu by the way.

I imagine you will need third party software, such as AnyDVD, to decrypt the DVD before you can copy it.

Got my disc today and now waiting for a reply from next someone to pass it on.
Gumby if you read this could i suggest creating an annual series of discs so that people dont double up on copying. Dunno if this is already in place, just a thought.
