Is there microblogging software that companies can host internally? I think I remember Joel Spolsky mentioning that Fog Creek uses one. I can't remember what the name was or find what other software is out there. Does anyone have any ideas?

Do people think that all or most large, contemporary corporations receive value for money from the state? Do they get more from, say, national transport infrastructure than they pay for in tax - and would be willing to pay for if the state were absent...
