updated the 6.50 console firmware to 6.60 via memory...

Open your vhs menu by hitting the select button there you will see umd iso mode change it to either infreno or sony NP9660 then try them

I followed Hunter x Hunter's guide to a tee, using only files from the download links, and when I tried to run the CIPL Flasher it hung at the "restarting in 5 seconds" message. I hard restarted, and when I tried to use the CIPL Flasher the PSP goes black...

Okay PSP is playing ISOs, RemoteJoyLite-ing, and PSPdisping properly.
Maybe try installing the PRO Nightly build So to determine the problem ones .
Reset psp to default settings, disable all plugins...

Hello, I've managed to find my old .Iso's for my 1002 PsP and I'd really like to play them now the problem is, they won't run and I get an error 80020148.

As far as the ISO's go, open up your VSH menu and see if your "UMD ISO MODE" is set to "m33 Driver"
EDIT: Update to 6.60 OFW and then use this: 6.60ME-1.8 (OFW Version) - Downloads - PSPMOD.com - ....
I would personally update your firmware.

Did you put in the game folder instead of the iso folder? check it again.
