You could try....
Picking a fixed key means that the viewstate is still valid when the process comes back up, but you've lost the session state .
It sounds as though the worker process is recycling itself (assuming you're storing session state in-process) .

I've been wondering the same....
Once you do that, you will not accept any more clients and the service will continue to finish the operations for clients that are already connected .
You just have to call Dispose on the ServiceHost instance that you create .
