I've seen numerous full-page ads in the newspaper for hearing aids. There's never a price, just some offer of a free trial. The use of full-page ads leads me to believe that there is a very high margin in the hearing aid business.

Spent some time with a number of Folks at Rayovac regarding their 312 batteries and packaging and branding as well as on the phone with a big box resellers customer service folks..
Some of what I learned
1. all Rayovac hearing aid batteries are identical...
