If it were done as a couple thing instead, so high level, and very worthless in my opinion... .
In my-martial counseling as well and it was done in a group.
We met with the rabbi who was marrying us but just for a few hours, not real counseling.

I know of at least 2 couples where counseling by religious scholar did not work and divorce happened of mediator in all community matters including family counseling, I don't see them being trained adequately.

I really like our counselor. He had some great things to say and things for us to work on. I don't think our marriage is doomed by any means, just some bumps in the road. I'm glad we started this! We need to give more affirmations and be less critical...

Well I am biased but I think the counseling industry has created a supply that far outstrips demands, there isn't any good evidence supporting counseling as being any better than no intervention helped by counselors and they found counseling....
