Not to say if you plan to go to countries like from the timetables....
It's just not affordable to travel long distances on the train to Rome by train is more than 24 hours of travel.

PS. Do I need to book a return flight in and out of London to get in ok on a tourist visa? It would be better if I could book one way to London, then one way train to France, that way I could book the flight closer to the date when I know if I want to...
