From the Highland Lakes in the north to the Country of 11,000 Springs in the south, it's all.
Roughly along and west of Interstate Highway 35 you finally come to the best part of Texas, the Hill Country.

Got a week long trip planned for 3rd week of March. Gonna ride as much dirt roads as we can in the Hill Country, Rock Springs ans SW of there.
But we need a base camping spot for 4 or 5 nites.
Thinking about Lost Maple State park or Garner SP.
Any suggestions...

The closest back-country.
The back country camp sites at Lost Maples are much better than the ones on the front lawn.
Park Map.
Second choice would be Love Oak, on the river side of the loop .
On Persimmon Hill.
