Actually worrisome? And on what kind of hardware are you seeing this? A spike to 27% on a quad-core CPU, is show you CPU usage at any given point in time.

Usually the best place to start is the Http.sys log:
HTTP.SYS error log - %windir%\System32\LogFiles\HTTPERR

I'd say try to see if it is garbage collector thread that is taking up your CPU.
Heap dumps of the application, that could answer a few questions related to memory and cpu usage will be invoked.

Does this happen in IE8 as well? IE8 has a profiler that will tell you how much time is being spent on each javascript function and how many times they get called .

The test driven development guys refer to a quick, exploratory, investigation that involves coding something up to see if it works , a spike .

Hi Folks,
Tracktor works fine when I open the software.
However, when I turn the S2 on the CPU spikes into constant red. Thus making it impossible to play tunes. Too much crackles and distortion.

Sounds like the driver is not shutting enough and it doesn't show what... .
Happens is that the cpu spikes so hard that once it hits 90% or so, the task manager doesn't update to see which process is consuming all of those cpu cycles.
