Hey guys... my stepdaughter recently saw hermit crabs at the mall and fell in love with them. I've been researching what we would need to take care of them but there's a lot of different info out there. I know people on here have kept them and I was wondering...

Re: Killer Hermits! I have more that a dozen red and blue leg hermit crab in my tank and have never! The only hermit I have seen kill snails is one of my scarlet's, so crabs do what crabs do.

My old 56g reef tank is still full of live rock with hair algae on them. One 1400k 150w mh bulb still keeps some zooanthids and a small carpet anemone alive when on for 3 hours/day, but most of the algae has died off(because of this?). Could the hermits...
