I bought mine have neoprene rubber foam....
To to the bed sheets section of wal-mart and look for a matress pad ago and the foam I needed for a project like yous was as much as a new hard case.
Stored in foam and fabric cases.

They carry a foam similar to depron in various thicknesses.
Worked fine.
That tried the foam sheets available at Hobby Lobby Craft Store.

Okay thank you soI would say use Mod Podge to seal it, I use it to seal craft foam and it works pretty well, not sure about the....
And the foam craft sheets you can get at just about any craft place for details.
