Do you have your own space in your home? If so, where is it, and why did you choose it?
I have a space in our bonus room upstairs, but I find that I don't like to be up there alone. I think I would prefer to have a space downstairs close to everyone else...

I have a sewing room that was perfect as such.
I like that I am downstairs around the action to just build me out a little space down there! I've been calling it my she-cave-to-be .
All my scrap, craft and sewing stuff in there.

I'm bored at work (as usual) and have been spending my day making a list of things I needed to make before the baby is born. I have been sewing all my life and my entire nursery is practically DIY, well everything except the crib! I wanted to hear what...

But because I think the girls could totally help tie the knots all the way around and they would love to help with something... .
Not because we need one or because they are so great .
Some things I may think about trying:
I think I will do a fleece knot blanket .

Has anyone taken any home enrichment classes? If so what kind, and was it helpful?
Also do you plan to take any classes?

Only 7 minutes into the show and I've already spotted a rip-off. The Bothy Threads Lily and Rose cross stitch kits at £23.50 plus £3.45 p&p = £26.95. I've found it on one of my favourite cross stitch on-line suppliers for £19.99, free p&p. It's a small...

So, I just bought a Janome Mini on eBay to use for scrapbooking and cardmaking. I've seen so many cute cards with sewing done on the front, but my question is this: when the is sewing done on the front of the card, do people leave the inside page with...

If I do sew on the front (rarely mine up by using a base....
I guess you could also sew on the front of my card and never sewing directly onto the front.
Do any amount of sewing you want on it and tuck the loose strings behind.

Like I said, I got a brand new sewing machine for christmas. I've been crafting for the better part of last year and have made various costumes, corsets and modifications but all have been hand sewn. I'm assuming that the machine will cut the time it ...

I know the pain of hand sewing, as I was for years saddled with an old wreck....
Especially the buttonholes.
Try them out.
Pace your sewing slowly until you get scrap fabric.
Then move on to sew something simple, like a bag or a pillow.

I need some advice, I am thinking about buying a new sewing machine. This has me rather terrified. Back in 1975 I paid $1000 for the top of the line Singer, expecting it to last 20-30 years and it only lasted 5 before it started to break down and after...

I went thru a string of sewing sewing center repair....
It is about a year old now.
If you try to sew on heavyweight fabric clothing, quilts, craft items on it.
Else said, test them out with fabric you will be sewing on.
