I don't know your setup, but make sure your extensions directory allows Joomla write permissions .
Sounds like your extensions directory doesn't have the folder/file permissions set correctly .

Hello -
Upgraded to j1520 and it appear I can't install any extension via the Extension Manager.
I receive the following message:
JFolder::create: Could not create directory
Warning! Failed to move file.
All file permission are set to 775.***updated folder...

In the Global Config and in my Configuration.php....
But I've checked the temp directory path and it seems correct .

Is the temp directory path correct, I have had this issue before and found that the paths in global config were wrong .

Buenas tardes, en mi joomla, en la parte de Sitio / Gestor Multimedia me sale este error: JFolder::create: Path not in open_basedir paths como muestra la imagen adjunta.
Lo raro de esto es que la carpeta tmp y la carpeta logs estan correctamente escritas...

Edita el archivo /libraries/joomla/filesystem/folder.php
Busca esta línea de código:

y coméntala, es decir, añádele dos barras delante de modo que quede así:

Bueno, a lo mejor ya conocen este problema, pero mi ingles es muy malo, menos mal que tienen un apartado para publicaciones en español, bueno, tal como lo dice el titulo ese error se genera al tratar de subir alguna plantilla, extensión, plugin o modulo...

Když to nahraješ přes FTP pak jsem si jist, že si nebude stěžovat "tyhle soubory patří tobě, proto se s nima php nemůže hrát".. .
Cca před pár minutama se mi to přes TC povedlo a to jsem to dělal poprve (teda jako s joomlou), tož to zkus taky.. .
