The release date and price for the new CS6 were announced the other day and they also gave the details for Creative Cloud.
Is anyone here looking at buying either of these?
Creative Cloud is new, I think, and I was a bit confused by what the difference...

Looks like it has been at least discussed.
But although there certainly are plenty of symbols , there isn't one for Creative Commons AFAIK.
If there was a Creative Commons logo in unicode, you might be able to use it.

I temporarily installed an old Creative Audigy 2 soundboard on my Vista x64 Home Premium computer. Bad idea! I uninstalled the board & all software visible on the control panel.

The issue (I think) is that you removed the creative card, and so now ASIO's all confused, and rather than go back.
Expects the creative sound card to use its onboard soundfonts to render the sounds.

I'm searching for creative -- or at least non-standard -- uses for Version Control . I have a specific purpose in mind, but I don't want to stifle your creative thoughts with any sort of limitations.
To that end, don't eliminate a creative use of VCS ...

I have Creative Vista Webcam (041e:405f) which has very slick and nice design but it doesn't really work under Ubuntu, all I can see is a green screen with some noise. How can I make it work?

You have to delete /etc/modprobe.d/creative_vista.conf file

Is there any application in linux-land that can encode files into the Creative's own .cmv? I tried their C.Centrale, but it doesn't seem to work well through Wine.
I need one that will work with Zen MX , which doesn't accept the original xvids / wmvs....

Check the Creative Commons FAQ and what FSF says about it .
Aside from the technical details and incompatibilities, Creative Commons licenses aren't meant for software or software documentation.
