Can't you just install the Nvidia HD Audio driver and hook the HDMI up to the receiver? I don't think the HDMI has to be used for video, I thought it can be used for audio only.

HDMI supports HDCP which will likely prevent a new tuner card from playing the HD channels back even to get a cable box from Verizon and....
Also there is probably no point in trying to find a tuner card with HDMI in.

Does the GTX285 even support audio through HDMI? You'd need to install the Nvidia Audio driver-in HDMI audio, so you'd need to attach the jumper cable from the sound card to the video card to get it to work.

Now when I try to run any of the Creative apps I'm told that the device the application supports isn't available the latest PAX drivers a try.
I uninstalled all the Creative software then used Driver Sweeper in safe mode to clean up.
