I recently used equifax to obtain my credit report and I was surprised to see FIVE searches in the last month from Capquest debt recovery LTD. The searches appear under table ONE regarding credit applications and have the reference 'outstanding debt''...

For further as i am aware it is a criminal offence to search your credit file without verbal or written consent.
This information remains on your credit report for 2 years from the search date.

It takes serious self-discipline to get out of any kind of consumer debt, but credit card debt I was not in major debt (under 10,000) so I was able to fix the issue and my credit score now today I have excellent I use....

Apparently Mobil had sold the debt in bulk to a creditor company but it was such a small amount they never pursued it with me of the 'debt' contacted me...twelve....
Only thing is the 'debt' was from 12 years previous.

If it is six or more years the debt is statute barred - they cannot take you totally
if not already, very very soon....
Ago it should have dropped of your Credit File,and in turn although the debt will still exist of your last payment.
