Hi I'm new to the forum, and have a money question I need answered.
I have a few credit cards, but I only really use the one now, the other ones just sit in my wallet- they haven't been used in about a year. I remember hearing that not using your credit...

I'll be buying a townhouse this summer of 2012 and checked my Equifax Credit score today and it's 740 with a BMW 3 year car loan (1 year paid off so far) and 3 credit cards (began in 2003, 2007 and 2011).
I feel like an idiot because I didn't know that...

My guess is that score is not a FICO but probably a Fakko a credit....
There is really not fast easy way to raise your score history and increase your score as well.
It all evens out in the end.

1. Capone - CL- $750 - Balance - $300

One thing you might want to try is to look for any errors on your credit report. A large percentage have bad data that might negatively affect your score. I've heard up to 30%.

I have an erroneous mark on my credit report. I and the company who created it have contacted all the credit agencies to have it removed. On freecreditreport.com, my $1 subscription, they computed that it would raise my score 52 points if it was removed...
