What are peoples thought on creep feeding in pastures? Calves on mostly about a month old. If i decide to creep should I put it out there now or wait for the calves to get bigger? Would i be better of just letting it go and weaning them early if it stays...

When I creep I feed a set amount per day every day and dont fill the feeder up and let them go to 300 lbs ) Edited by Markwright 5/23....
Now if it did too.
I dont like to creep that early and like to wait until maybe a month before weaning.

I have fresh cut roads running through my property and I am looking to plant something to hold the ground. I dont want anything that is high maintence but if I have to mow it once/twice a year that is fine. Any recomendations? I really dont want it planted...

Soil and water folks usually know.
That was exactly what we did, Soil and water folks recomended fescue.
Plant before predicted light rain, cheap.
Creeping red fescue will hold up well to traffic.

This may seem like a stupid question but if there is a dominant lawn type in Melbourne (mornington esp.) area what would it be?
My guess would be buffalo, especially around here.
I'm a relative newby, been gardening all my life but lawnmowing just recently...

I mainly find buffalo and couch in new to feel .
I don't creeping into everything, like garden beds and onto paths.
Mornington must be a good area, most of what I come across is kik, fescue and weed blends.
