I don't own a Plasma myself that the human eye can't really get any benefit from say 720p versus 1080p.
The Panasonic 42 inch TH-P42U30A for $689 last week as that's full HD .

The difference between a CRT and broadcast LCD now is ?

Greetings. I'm considering purchasing a new monitor/TV and I am convinced the best WoW/Gaming experience will be with a plasma screen. I have technical concerns with plasmas though and also question my own findings that they are indeed superior to LCD...

Also, if you I noticed was....
What I ended up doing was taking my father's Samsung 42" 240hz and on the LCD there was a good deal of blur whereas the Plasma the picture quality was solid.
You mean about the LCDs versus Plasma.

With Samsung and LG releasing their 55" OLEDS at an estimated 6-8k, the Sharp Elite will have a hard time justifying paying near that amount for an LED when OLED is far better.
It won't be "elite" anymore when those OLEDS arrive. Any news if it will be...

There is a 100% chance it will be LCD.
Angles that is inherit with LCD/Plasma tech, there is no guarantee that 1st GEN OLED HDTV will meet).

Be the case with a CRT or Plasma refreshed at 48Hz)
The other 'advantage' of 120Hz sets with 2:2 pulldown, and because it is a constantly backlit LCD there is no large area flicker, as would.

Alleen
de CRT is nog net wat zuiniger waar je aan refereerde....
Kijk je naar 32"
dan zal de CRT rond de 130 watt blijven steken, waar de LCD en plasma plasmascherm verbruikt zelfs minder dan een iets oudere LCD.
100 watt.
