My family of 6 will be in port for two days and we wanted to do a dolphin experience. Any recommendations on which of the 2 is a better experience would be appreciated. Should we plan on a taxi to get there or hire a service?

Have fun!! There is one in Cabo San Lucas, just steps away from the cruise ship tender drop off.
You don't need either, the dolphin experience is at the Marina, which is where you will be ferried to.

I have an opportunity, for $200, to swim with dolphins in Aruba on a shore excursion associated with my cruise, and as much as I'm thinking it would be awesome and a once-in-a-lifetime experience, I'm not sure I feel comfortable doing it.
Looking around...

I originally wanted to get our family in on the dolphin swim/snorkel in Roatan, but when I went to book there was only 1 spot available for our time. Instead of spending days on research, I should have just jumped at it when I first read about it!!
ANYHOW...

That said, there is NO WAY from the action.
We snorkeled after our dolphin who will really want to do the dolphin thing are the kids (9, 6, 4).
It's worth a try! Snorkeling is great too.
Can bargain with them.
