Italian Cruisers at La Maddalena
The Italian Navy in 1942 -3 had two cruisers stationed at la maddalena in Sardinia.Which ships were they and can anybody identify the anchorage they may have used?

Madelena was used as a base for many Italian ships during this period anchorage (Agincourt Sound) was reputed to be the best anchorage in the area.

7 US Navy Cruisers to be Decommissioned.
Per this article, seven US Navy cruisers and some amphibious assault ships are to be decommissioned to save money.

Soviet Cruisers
Found photos of a Sverdlov class cruiser wrecked on the way to the breakers and was struck by her outward similarity to WW2 German cruisers and battleships in her funnel. spherical high angle directors, and twin high angle gun mountings...
