My floor jack has a piece that fits in it so I don't crush the sheet metal at the jack points. Where can I put the stands so they don't crush it?

I reuse the oil plug crush ring a few times before i replace it.
If you can crush them some more to make a good seal, then i dont see why you can re-use them.
