Why didn't they just "do a Switzerland " and stay out of it? I'm suprised they ever joined, because it has never exactly been a welcoming atmosphere for the British, in fact, the French never wanted them in and were strongly opposed to the UK joining ...

US banks with no-fee ATMS in Europe
anyone from the US that has been to Europe before (or has researched this) that knows of banks that don't charge ATM fees for getting Euros out of their account? Maybe there aren't any in today's banking climate.

Most European banks do not add additonal fees...so it usually comes on European ATMs.

Me and my partner will be cycling from Istanbul to Berlin and then across to Amsterdam this summer. We're still trying to figure out exact routes but will mostly be following Eurovelo 6. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good guide book/...
