D90 or D5000 First time posting on here, so glad to be here. But I'm in a dilemma, I'm looking for my first DSLR and pretty much narrowed it down to two - D90 and D5000. I'm going to buy refurb for either (if that makes a difference). I'm looking to shoot...

If not, ditch the D5000 and go really understand WHY....
If you can afford the price difference...go with the D90 .
For me it would be a decision between the D5100...it's a better camera .
Understand WHY someone would consider a D5000 anyway.

DXO: 7D vs. D5000 Check this out:
DXO 7D vs. D5000
I do see one error - it says the 7D shoots 3fps. That's clearly inaccurate. But does that mean the DXO test results are screwed up (they've made some dingy mistakes in the past)?
It just BARELY out performs...

Hi all,
I am looking for a good magnifying eyepiece for my new D5000. Something along these lines (I have now sold my Pentax system) - http://www.adorama.com/IPXOME53.html
I loved it on the Pentax as it helped keep my nose off the lcd while the rubber...

I am potentially interested in following suit.
Here are my options.
Are comments from others who have tried it on some Nikon models, not necessarily D5000:
http eyecup with the D5000 supplied DK-24 or if that does not fit, the DK-21.

Would you trade a Nikon d5000 for a d200? Given they were both in the same condition.
I shoot NCAA basketball and lug my camera around a lot. I like the build quality of the D200, as well as the button layout for changing settings. I know that I will ...

StephenG You're right...in retrospect, higher iso would have been.
Next time bump your ISO a notch higher and you'll to keep ISO at 200 on a D5000.
Nice shots.
I really like my D5000.
Cool shots.

I have the D5000 and am considering getting the D5100. B&H as you know has the kit refurbished for $590. Someone else is selling a D5100 second-hand, but non-refurbished, body-only for $535. ($55 less but with no 18-55mm VR.) I'm leaning towards getting...

PS - If I were you, and I....
I'd suggest checking them out.
B&H as reputable as B&H.
I got my D5000 refurb through Cameta because they give a one-year warranty on Nikon refurbs.
