This is very curious;
I would expect compatibility or configuration problems to surface ... .
Presumably you can actually shutdown from your network connected XP system
and reboot with PuppyLinux to find that the Ethernet port remains in a link-down state .

Whenever i access the net using the Lan wire in dataone...the pc gets hung within 5-10min...
As an alternative i am now using the USB port to access the net where there r no probs....
Any suggestions on y my PC crashes when using the LAN port?

I have written a ruby script which opens up dlink admin page in firefox and does a ADSL connection or disconnection.
I could run this script in the terminal without any problem. But if I put it as cron job, it doesn't fire up firefox.

You'd need to have it return an int for your code to work:
class incrementable { static int increment() { StaticTest.i++; return StaticTest.i; } }
" void " is a keyword reserved for methods which don't return any... .
Increment() doesn't have a return value.

En kan je nog aanloggen dan? (in de veronderstelling dat je W2K8 in een domain zit en je W7 de client is)
Als't klopt is er toch een delta van meer dan 5mins en zou aanloggen niet mogelijk... .
