I sent a card to my DIL's with gift cards and gave my DD a card with some songs that ....
In a new faucet in our basement and when I tried to pay him he said "happy mother's day" ;) My and was pampered and fussed over all day.

What did you do/will you be doing/ hope to do?
Last year I kept it low key and just stayed home... This year, we're having our moms over for brunch... Next year, I hope to do brunch at my favorite restaurant!

We took her to Florida in June for her mother's day gift.
DH was still overseas so I sent his mother a card too.
I think we grilled out and gave her gifts.

Mothers day gifts for under $30? Shes not a typical mother. She doesn't cook, clean, doesn't want jewelry, flowers, stuff like that. She says she just wants us to clean the house spotless, and we will, but we want to get her something. Please please help...
