ALAC and dBpoweramp problem Hello
I have a very strange problem: after having investigated for quite a long time, I finally discovered that my Akurate DS doesn't want to read ALAC files created with dBpoweramp!!

RE: ALAC and dBpoweramp problem I have a feeling that you need to download extra codecs from dBpoweramp to do the conversion.

DBpoweramp ripping quality Hi,
Just in the process of ripping my cd collection to uncompressed FLAC. My files seem to be coming out as 16 bit, am I able to create 20 or 24 bit instead when ripping as apparently they are the best quality.

it rips the cds just fine with the album art being displayed during ripping.

Not sure why that is -- both use LAME 3.98, but the Foobar encodes actually sounded worse than even the "Fast (High Quality)" setting on dBpoweramp..
Samples sounded WORSE than the dBpoweramp encodes.

1) I have an "Offset Mystery" that's a little puzzling. If I go into EAC (v1.0 Beta 3) - into Drive Options - uncheck the option to use AccurateRip and let EAC detect the offset, the result is "-580". But as soon as I re-check the AccurateRip checkbox...

You're kind of already forgoing that by using dBpoweramp since it doesn't create cuesheets which when I would do so.
