Kam and I have been discussing the format of the debate and I can only speak for myself, but I personally feel that it is very restrictive and will not help encourage actual debate. I don't like the questionaire-style in the least.
I suggest we have a...

I must agree with smashthestate on both points:
1) the debates must be more open
2) it's not fair some sort of a gambling pool for the PoFo Debates so that the spectators get more involved? And to save time we could do a couple debates....

Why are political debates so childish and immature? If you go on fox news for example, the political debates will have some old people yelling and disrespecting their opponent's political views. I'm 15 and high school debates are more mature and high ...

Christopher Hitchens....
Have you tried the debates with people from Demos? There was one Ridpath vs.
Socialism with Objectivists on one: I gather Hitchens surprised them .
In most such debates, that is capitalism vs.
In the late 80's early 90's.

DF rarely debates as far as I can tell and does a fine job with this forum as its moderator for the debates.
These debates are going to be running capable.
If people don't want to vote, then I'll have to appoint judges .
