O.K. I've heard it before... If you cover treated wood with coil it causes a chemical reaction that will:
1. cause corrosion on the coil or
2. cause the treated wood to rot
I'll be honest, if a homeowner wants me to wrap the treated 4x4 posts on the porch...

One brand name that I have seen is called Perennial Wood.
I clean and treat it once a years is the new heat treated wood.
To seal it? I put in an ipe deck 5 years ago and it still looks awesome.

The moisture in the wood is a lot of the problem all 6 sides.
Between it allows the deck to breath and dry out.

If your deck isn't made of pressure treated wood, I suggest power washing wood....
If your deck isn't made of pressure treated wood may be something similar.
Of Australian Timber Oil may be something similar.
