Sounds like it is leucistic.
The eyes are black a white deer before and was wondering if anyone else has.
Of the deer was pure white!
As you can see from the picture, the deer is not an albino.

I have other higher calibers for deer but was wanting to know if the 308 is an effective gun just for deer hunting. I currently hunt with the 30/06 and it has the power im looking for but i like guns and wanted a 308. But only if it was good for deer ...

Been using a .308 for 40 years.
I very rarely ever have one take a step after the shot .
308 is all I use for deer.
Very good deer cartridge.
You can't go wrong with a 308.
308 is an excellent round for deer.

That's a lot better off than when our old Peugeot 406 hit a deer a few years back, the bonnet/front later a guy runs out from the same direction the deer did, picked it up and walked off.

Calf (and wasteful of material) to form a reasonably full wing .
White deer tail (or,.."bucktail") was the winging material used by the originator.

Got up early and took to the woods dreaming of some late deer chasing. Spent over an hour slowly making my way up the mountain to my favorite tree (killed 3 deer in 3 shots from it this year).
Got settled in nicely and began to notice the lack of critter...
