I am desperately trying to decide whether to get an almost new Fender Blues Deluxe for $480, or a Hot Rod Deville 410 for $400. The Deville was worked 1 year ago.
I love the tweed of the Blues, but I want the headroom of the Deville.
I also am weary about...

I've never played the Deville in the Deville will not be as flabby.
I have a Blues Deluxe re-issue that I adore.

So i had a deal working for my carvin halfstack where i was going to get a peavey delta blues, but the deal fell thru. Just happened that some one bougt the carvin instead. So have some extra cash handy and i'm looking for a "new" amp.

i will like to know how the new fenders (devilles, blues juniors etc) maintain the old fender tones of twins, deluxes and supers. Are they circuit more tweed or blackface or just a complete new animal

Here's my Fender amp experience:
I've owned 2 Hot Rod Deluxe amps with a 1-12 speaker, then a HR DeVille 4-10 amp.

Up for a twin or deluxe reverb? If your only playing at home, I would go with the Superchamp X2 XD for over 4 years and have found great Fender tones on it.
