If you're an old hand at home ....
The same features on an Onkyo will cost less, unless you find a very good sale on a Denon.
The worst thing about Denon is their remotes.
Denon makes very good stuff, but they tend to be a bit pricey.
I just picked up an old Denon DRA-835R receiver in excellent condition from a friend. It's a rock solid receiver and I'm glad to have it. I don't see a lot on this forum about Denon and frankly, I don't have a ton of experience with the products. I associate...

What's important to you and what features are you looking for? I can't comment on that particular Denon model, but we've been a Denon household....
The Denon is better quality.
In general you'll get more features for the money with the Onkyo .
Hello, I am new to this forum. Thanks for having me. I am going back and forth between the Onkyo NR 3009 and the Denon AVR 4311ci receivers. I have tried to listen to both models (Onkyo 3009 and Denon 4311) but there doesn't seem to be any big box stores...

The Onkyo NR 3009 and the Denon AVR 4311ci receivers.
Actually, I am not a fan of using tone controls in general, but will use them sparingly in cases where they help. And I have never come across a Loudness button that, IMHO, did not sound really bad. On the other hand, I have a modest Denon DRA-335R receiver...

I was confused about" the sound through the variable loudness .
I posed a similar question recently about a Denon DRA-755 receiver.
Hi guys, I'm looking for some advice.... I have a denon 3805 which I love and is fully functional, but I'm going to have to change it to resolve some HDMI switching issues I'm having. I don't have the same level of disposable income as I used to so I ...

Onkyo is a different sounding amp to Denon so this may or may not be to your taste....
Of things in AV receivers (if anything the quality has gone down in previous years for the same outlay drop in sound quality you will or will not notice.
Hi, since I am finally getting a new 5.1 system for my home theater, I am also searching for a good receiver. I am using the system mostly for playing games and therefore the video "input lag" of the receiver is important. Therefore I ask you, if you ...

For TVs as well as receivers! FYI: Some receivers have substantial audio delays when.

Really, you should just audition the receivers.
Nothing revolutionary has supply and analog electronics are pretty much the same .
I believe that your Denon is a relatively recent model, as it has HDMI.
I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a Denon 3312 CI . But should I wait? Will there be a Denon 4312 CI? Are the jump up in possible features going to be worth waiting for? Thanks Experts!
