So, I'd recommend seeing at least one other doctor off the SRS (Scoliosis Research Society) list for Idiopathic Scoliosis similar to Congenital ones?

You may have to travel for this.
Important thing I would tell you is to find a doctor who treats this type of scoliosis specifically to no experience with congenital scoliosis such as your son's.
