Through help on this site, I have found the installed phone dialer.
But the only way I have found to access it is through "run".
How can I assigh a shortcut to this program?

I'm not sure what Phone Dialer is exactly, but if it's just an exe you can create a shortcut.

In my application I detect the out going call when a call is dialled from the dialer or contacts.
This works fine and I then pop up a dialog saying I have detected the call and then the user presses a button to close the dialog which calls finish() on...

What the H would you even want AOL for? It's the most pathetic internet service anyone could have. .
You're already connected to the net.
You DON'T dial to get a connection in the first place .
You don't use dialup internet! You use ADSL.
