Apart from being very fast to construct the charts, it keeps them in a textual form that can be kept under version control or easily compared to previous ones .
I use Graphviz for things like this.

Unless IDBFactory does something really important, you should inject.
Did you miss something in your the IArticleDAO returned by IDBFactory.
It to return an instance of IArticle (the interface, not the concrete class) .

If you add the following then it all works fine:
use TableMod 'mod_table';
I normally only keep a single test file with use_ok in (normally 00-load.t or 00-use.t ) .
Its because use_ok is being called at run-time.
