This just started a couple weeks ago my truck(1990 s10, 4.3, manual) suddenly died and wouldn't start. Towed it home played with the fuel lines that go into the TBI and it started and ran. Thought maybe the fuel pump was going out so I replaced that. ...

What I did was take a 3M gasket removal disc on my die grinder the gap was close enough to trigger....

406 sbc vortec heads tbi injection 700r4
Estimated HP 346@5000rpm installed and all the way in the hole.

Well, the s10 decided it had, had enough of my abuse and the motor decided to lock up on me.
rebuild kit $700, new crate motor $1500, ranger $1200... I chose the ranger.
So, I'm the proud owner of a '88 Ranger, 4x4, 2.9 v6, auto.
