You'll have better luck in San Diego than LA.
Either the Banana Bungalow or the HI San Diego Downtown, both sites in San Diego, but it's on a couple of bus lines that will take you to them.
You should look at a youth hostel.

It was on our local news that three ships sailed out of San Diego today. The Westerdam, Zuiderdam and a Celebrity ship.
It is big news here as the cruise companies are not coming to San Diego ...

Ok ok, I have seen this white charger with san diego charger powder blue stripes going down the middle headed on the 8 east and 8 west several times in the past week with me going in opposite directions everytime.
